Are You Ready For The 2017 Thinking Day Challenge?

Since 1926 February 22 has been celebrated as World Thinking Day, a day of international friendship for Girl Scouts and Girl Guides around the globe. It’s a day where girls connect with the worldwide sisterhood of Girl Guiding and Girl Scouting, speak out on issues that girls care about, and make a difference!

And did we mention there’s a different theme each year with a badge? Pretty nifty!

World Thinking Day 2017

For 2017, the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts (WAGGGS), is inviting “more girls and young women around the world to experience what it means to be part of the Girl Guiding and Girl Scouting Movement!”

To earn the Thinking Day badge, girls must complete the challenges in the Grow Activity Pack.

Step 1 – Make New Friends

Identify a group in your community that doesn’t have access to Girl Guiding or Girl Scouting and invite them to participate at your World Thinking Day celebrations. Together you will embark on an exciting adventure and earn your challenge badge!

Step 2 – Share the Fun

Share the fun of what it means to be a member of Girl Guiding and Girl Scouting with your new friends by solving the mystery of the missing “seeds of change!” Go on a treasure hunt by choosing activities from each part of the WAGGGS tree.

Step 3 – Plant a Tree!

Once you locate the missing “seeds of change,” celebrate World Thinking Day and mark the beginning of a new friendship by planting the seeds!

Don’t let your Girl Scouts miss out on this great opportunity to be a part of a global movement! Download your activity packet today and help your girls connect with our global sisterhood. Don’t forget to order your World Thinking Day badge when you’re all done!
