Are you ready for G.I.R.L. 2017- Columbus, OH?

Excitement is building for the epic adventure that is G.I.R.L. 2017!  This October, Girl Scout members of all ages, their caregivers, families, and anyone who cares about girls and their awe-inspiring potential are invited to join us in Columbus, Ohio for the experience of a lifetime!

What is G.I.R.L. 2017?

Our national convention is one of the largest gatherings of girls and women in the world. While you’re there, you’ll discover your inner G.I.R.L. (Go-getter, Innovator, Risk-taker, Leader)™ as you attend fun events, hear inspiring speakers, meet cool exhibitors in the Hall of Experiences (Friday and Saturday, October 6-7).

Plus, you’ll join with people from across the nation to celebrate and explore the go-getter, innovator, risk-taker, and leaders in all of us!

Frequently asked questions About G.I.R.L. 2017

When are the Opening and Closing Ceremonies? The Opening Ceremony and Closing Ceremony will be Friday, October 6 and Sunday, October 8.

When does registration open, and what is the cost? The registration portal is scheduled to open the week of March 13, and you can find  a breakdown of the cost and what activities are included at that cost here.

Are there official housing options? Girl Scouts of the USA has set up an official housing block, which is set to open in March with registration. It will include shuttle services to the Greater Columbus Convention Center from hotels within the block.

When do we get the official agenda of activities? Right now, Girl Scouts of the USA has an overview of the day to day activities and plans to release a more detailed agenda in the coming months. This is a brief overview from their site:

In addition to the Hall of Experiences, the opening ceremony will kick off G.I.R.L. 2017 on Friday, October 6, 2017 for all attendees. Beginning on Saturday, October 7, 2017 there will be separate Go-Getter, Innovator, and Risk-Taker themed plenary sessions that are followed by breakout sessions specific to those areas.

Additionally, we will host a fun and engaging adult party for attendees 18 and over that night and a corresponding one for girls in grades 6-12. To wrap up this exciting convening, we will host a Leader plenary session and our official closing ceremony on Sunday, October 8, 2017.
