Rally Your Girls, Cookie Season is Coming!
When your girls take part in the Girl Scout Cookie sale, they are doing so much more than selling delicious treats to our cookie-loving friends and neighbors. They’re building essential skills like goal setting, decision making, money management, people skills, and business ethics. That’s why it’s more than just another fundraiser; it’s the largest girl-led entrepreneurial program in the world!
Cookie season kicks off in January, and we know you want your girls to feel prepared and confident as they set out to reach their goals. One of the best ways to equip your troop for the Girl Scout Cookie Program is to attend a Cookie Rally!
What is a Cookie Rally?
A Cookie Rally is an event full of fun activities (you can see some sample activities in our 2018 Rally Guide) to “rally” your girls so they can launch their Cookie Business into a bright future! Many service units host their own Cookie Rally to give girls in their area the opportunity to learn about the Five Skills (goal setting, decision making, money management, people skills, and business ethics) with other Girl Scouts and have fun while doing it! At a service unit rally, you also receive sample cookies and patches and get to check out this year’s rewards!
Why should my girls attend a Cookie Rally?
Our research tells us that girls who learn the Five Skills and attend a rally, on average, have greater sales. Why? Because they understand! And those skills stay with them for a lifetime as they become our future leaders and entrepreneurs.
How do I find out if there’s a Cookie Rally near me?
Check with your Service Unit Cookie Coordinator to see if a rally is happening near you. If your service unit isn’t hosting one or you cannot make the date of the Cookie Rally, then you can use our Mini Troop Rally Guide to try some of our favorite skill building activities with your troop. Our Mini Troop Rally Guide contains a sampling of some of our favorite rally activities, each chosen for a skill to master with your girls.
